GROUNDS KEEPER

The Groundskeeper will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain and enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces, including parks, gardens, commercial properties, and residential areas. They will work under the direction of the Landscape Supervisor and will be required to operate a variety of equipment and tools.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and fertilizing lawns and gardens.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping tools.
  • Maintain outdoor spaces by removing debris, garbage, and other unwanted materials.
  • Install and maintain garden beds, planters, and other landscaping features.
  • Identify and report any issues related to plant health, pest infestation, or safety hazards.
  • Work with the Landscape Supervisor to develop and implement landscaping plans that meet the needs and preferences of clients.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety protocols and procedures.

Landscape Architect

 A landscape architect designs and plans outdoor spaces, including parks, recreational areas, and public spaces. They are responsible for creating functional and beautiful outdoor environments that meet the needs of the community.


Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients and stakeholders to discuss project requirements, goals, and budget.
  • Develop site plans, planting plans, and other design documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Create 3D models and renderings to help clients visualize the final design.
  • Conduct site analysis to determine site conditions, including topography, drainage, and soil conditions.
  • Prepare construction documents, including specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents.
  • Work with contractors and other professionals to ensure that designs are executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct post-construction site visits to ensure that designs have been implemented correctly and are functioning as intended.

 A tree care specialist is responsible for the care and maintenance of trees, including pruning, trimming, and disease management. They ensure that trees are healthy and safe and are responsible for removing trees that pose a danger to the community.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections of trees to identify issues such as disease, insect infestations, and structural damage.
  • Prune trees to promote healthy growth and remove dead or damaged branches.
  • Identify and diagnose tree diseases and pests and recommend appropriate treatments.
  • Conduct soil analysis to determine nutrient deficiencies and recommend fertilization as needed.
  • Install cables and braces to support weak or damaged branches.
  • Assess tree risk and recommend tree removal or relocation as needed.
  • Work with contractors and other professionals to ensure that tree care is coordinated with other site activities.
  • Maintain records of tree care activities and monitor the health and growth of trees over time.
